A vehicle equipped with a fuel tank cap requires refuelling operations that can lead to forgetting the cap, wasting time, and dirty hands.

A satisfaction survey* shows that fuel consumption and comfort of the car are much more important for the driver than vehicle performance.
To enhance comfort criteria, a capless refuelling system has been developed.
It is really simple. The only manipulation needed to fill the fuel tank is to open the fuel tank flapper door and to put the nozzle in the filler pipe. Nothing else!
In addition to obvious comfort advantages such as rapidity, simplicity and reliability, this capless system meets OEMs’ requirements for reducing the quantity of parts for the assembly of the vehicle and allowing innovative design at the filling interface.
Today, INERGY has already equipped nearly 3 million vehicles with a capless Fuel System. To meet more stringent emissions regulations and enhanced functionalities and services to the driver, INERGY has developed two new capless systems:
- CLINFILLTM for Europe and Asia (EURO IV and JLEV)
- INERFILLTM for United States (LEV II and PZEV).
With CLINFILLTM and INERFILLTM, INERGY meets the worldwide environmental requirements for the automotive market.
